Governing Coalition Reached Agreement in Pancevo

Governing parties in Pancevo managed today to reach a new coalition agreement and solve their problems, the representatives of Democratic Party, New Serbia and Democratic Party of Serbia in Pancevo announced today. On Radio Pancevo’s show „Quorum“ , local Democratic Party official Zoran Jovanovic emphasized that the matters regarding certain positions were the reason of disagreeement with New Serbia. „New Serbia considers that the stability of the coalition is secured through this document“, vice president of local New Serbia headquarters Milan Boksan confirmed.

Pancevac Newspaper

On this day in 1869 local weekly newspaper “Pancevac” started to be published. Its first editor was Mr Jovan Pavlovic. “Pancevac” is also the first newspaper published in cyrilic letter and one of the oldest newspapers  in Serbian. It was forbiden in 1876 and after that it has been renewed and forbidden several times. Over the years it published articles about all the most important ongoings in town, events, accidents and up-to-date news. Among other things, the first translation of Communist Manifesto was published in this weekly paper as well.Today “Pancevac” celebrates its 141^st Anniversary.

The Evening Clinic in Pancevo’s General Hospital with its services in extra time will start its work on Monday, April 12th. General check- ups, diagnostic methods and surgical interventions will be done on patient’s demand, the Hospital announces today.
